Welcome to the very first episode of Sow in Love! This podcast was birthed straight out of my love story—the greatest love story ever written: God’s love for us.
In this episode, I’m opening up with a story time. I share how 2024 unexpectedly had me caught up in what I can only describe as a “love triangle.” At first, it felt like an identity crisis—who was I becoming, how did I get here? But what I came to realize is that God wasn’t just after me, He was after my household. What started as confusion has become the foundation of my purpose, and this love is everlasting.
This is where Sow in Love begins: a space for fellowship, reflection, and what I call ancient self-care—practices rooted in scripture that help us create a rhythm between rest and responsibility.
What You’ll Hear in This Episode:
The backstory of how Sow in Love came to life
Why I call this season of my life a “love triangle”
How God pursued not just me, but my marriage and my household
The shift from curated self-care to ancient self-care
Why I’m choosing to reintroduce myself—not as Maya D, but as Jamaya, the name God gave me from the beginning
Scriptures to Meditate On:
Joshua 24:15 — “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Matthew 11:28–30 — His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.
